greener, you are one of our Pals! Bear's Daddy and I will shoot more to keep the barrels warm until you can retire and join us :)
Those cookies ARE a big expense! When KAZ leaves his couch to go outside for any reason whether it is a valid "Noise" or a trumped up expedition he gets in "cookie position" upon his return and you had better deliver. Regards

"Cookie Position". I kin relate to that. The Grumpasaurus is used to getting a treat when we come back from doing chores in the evening, and again when we go down to put the chickens to bed.

It didn't take long for that routine to develop into, "Hey, Dad, we walked by the chicken coop just now, where's my treat?" :P

And who says dogs are dumb animals and who is the trainer and the trainee???????? Live in the city with a nice fenced in yard and the back door is always open in good weather. Well, first thing in the morning Bear ha to go do his morning pee pee, when he comes back in he hunts me down wherever I may be and demands his 2 morning dog cookies, and after that he is usually satisfied for the day. Rarely ever begs for a cookie at any other time. :P :P
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Welcome Downeaster, you are going to fit right in! Yes, they do insist on us doing the right thing. Like Bear, KAZ rarely asks for a cookie at any other time. The exception is that when I come home from shopping with that new red box of Biscuits(cookie's) he knows exactly what is in the box and he will work me for a few. Of course in fairness he has "helped" me bring things in. Regards

do you get the same thing that I do, well Bear and I do the grocery shopping, he guards the truck and I get the goodies. When we get home and carry in the bags, it is sometimes a little difficult going up the stairs with a doggie face snooping in one or more bags.

Well, I don't want to turn this into a "my dog is cuter than your dog" thread, but Grump is so dang glad to see me when I come home (from anywhere, be it shopping or work) that I just can't bring myself to ask her to help lug the groceries...

Downeaster, there is a Doggie grin if I have ever seen one. Bear does not get exited when I get home, because he usually goes every place with me. Not even sure if the car would operate properly without t it;s back seat co pilot. Just came in from his morning tour of the yard, got his cookie ration and is relaxing under foot as usual.

A boy always needs a good gun and a better dog. Nice Pics. Mine would work for cheese crackers. Actually, he didn't do much work, but he expected the cheese nips. He sometimes didn't seem to be able to hear when I called the first time, but he could always hear the box of crackers rattle, inside the downstairs closet, TV going and Luther upstairs at the opposite end of the house.
