Traded a 45 colt Blackhawk for both, even trade, no money. In my opinion it was a fair deal for both of us. The 10/22 is 1973 vintage, and the SS is 1992. Both in very good condition, as was the 45 I traded. Hopefully can get to the range in the next couple of days. Had a Blackhawk in 44 mag and in 45 colt. I shoot the 44 better so didn't mind trading the 45.

Thought you might want to see the new Rugers I picked up on Monday.

Trades aren't always about the equality of monetary worth. If the individuals involved are satisfied, then it's a fair trade - as long as both parties are fully aware of what they are doing. If you have a gun that may be worth some dollars and you don't shoot it well or shoot it at all, then accepting something of lesser value but more useful is a fair trade.

Congrats swoter!
Your 1022 appears to have an S.E. Overton stock. These stocks were of nice black walnut and were fitted and balanced for each gun for Ruger. They also had the aluminum buttplate. The forend was slightly raked. If yours is a raked Overton it would indicate a date of pre-1972.
Nice guns!
