VQ Sear Makes Ruger MarkIII Fire Full Auto

Installing a VQ sear makes my Ruger MarkIII sometimes fire full auto. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

WOW!

I just installed mine last night and it made my trigger 1.5lbs! That's dry fire....I haven't tried live fire yet.

Try installing the original factory spring. If that does not work try the original sear with the VQ spring.

Make sure that the sear spring is oriented correctly, the short leg to the inside of the frame. If that doesn't do it, then check the spring to verify it is not bent. The two legs should be almost in a straight line, with the short one pointing directly outward from the bottom leg (Mark II/III).

There were a few of the CNC VQ sears that caused this condition. You may have gotten one of these from someone's stock supply. A call to VQ will have a replacement on its way in no time.
