Sorry, I do not accept donations. My advice is free and I pay for this website myself - no sponsors! This way I'm not beholding to anyone and my advice is straight and true, not tilted towards any benefactors. I do this to promote the shooting sports as others have done for me way back when I was just beginning my shooting career.

I sometimes have to go all the way back to help troubleshoot a pistol that I cannot see and touch. Your's was a simple thing that just took a little time to resolve. That strut on the mainspring cap is the bain of many Ruger 22 Auto owners. It's a simple step but also an exacting one.
I'm pleased to have been of some assistance to you. You should feel free to ask questions anytime. Go out and shoot some ammo through that thing!

Thanks man its great that you are doing this. Maybe someone will read this post if they are in the same situation and get it resolved. I think you should ad that upside down tilt thing to your instructions if its not on there I may have overlooked it. Well I guess this is the start of my project with this gun I'm going to lurk around and try to plan out what I will do with it. I plan on a TacSol top end or VQ at one point but for now I am just going to do some basics and refinish the gun in OD green. I'll post some pics of the project as I do things, thanks again.
It's there, step #7 on this page http://www.guntalk-online.com/2245detailstripping.htm Like I said flipping the grip is subtle but an essential step to proper reassembly. I used the Mark III 22/45 for the field stripping pictures. Later I'll add a section for the Mark II 22/45 in the field stripping section. I do have a separate Mark II section in the detailed stripping procedures.
Good luck with the upgrades.
