I probably know a few of you from various other forums, but thought I drop in over here and say "Hi." Anyplace I can find to learn a little more looks like a good place. I don't know enough to contribute much, so I'll just sit over here and see what I can pick up.
I think I'm starting to get this 22 "problem" I hear a lot of people talking about. I've managed to pick up a few, but nothing like some of you fellows have.

The problem is lack of money.
I know this is the "rifles" section, but I'll save having to make another post. I suspect most of you vist both sections anyway.

Welcome CajunBass!
I can see by your fine display that you're well on your way to havin' the fever! There's no cure only treatment which frankly isn't very effective.
You'll find this site to be all cattle.... no hat!

Very nice 22 collection! Yes, you certainly have the bug. And that bug is definitely parasitic on the wallet.

Very nice collection, CajunBass! You just better hope you don't ever get the black rifle disease or you'll really be in the poor house!

Why thank you gentlemen. I've since added a Ruger Bearcat to the handgun "collection." I believe it will become my "knock around" gun.
It's my wife who really likes the "black rifles." Ever since she got to hold her son's M-16 at Ft. Bragg a couple of springs ago. All I've heard is "I want one of those."
I've got a hankering for a 77/22 now.

CajunBass:
Welcome to the forum!
Add a Christies or similarly styled tactical stock to one of your .22 rifles and you can have a "Black Rimfire" to please the Mrs. and keep shooting inexpensive .22!

I've added a few to the pistol collection recently. I had to get a part time job to pay for them, but that hasn't killed me yet.
The new ones are the Dan Wesson 22, the Bearcat, and the S&W 17-3 at the top. I swapped those ugly grips on the 17 out with a regular set of S&W target grips. It made a BIG difference.
