I know the UCL a misnomer but for what it's worth I learned something today about them.
I've had an UCL since I got bit by the MKII-III bug. It's simply a great product, making quick work of loading the Ruger MK mags.
I've always had to shake mine to get it to load ten as quickly as advertised.
However after doing some thorough web searches I found much info of which some here were contributors.
What I learned is..... yes, silicon is fine to slick 'em up but the carrier can mar the plastic.
That as little as a 3/4 turn in "that screw" can literally have it loading as easily as the one in the accompanying vid. There's a fine narrow range for optimal loading.
I hope this helps someone.
