Volquartsen Titanium Firing Pin?

Post by haze10 » Thu Dec 20, 2007 10:31 pm

Thinking about adding the Volquartsen Titanium Firing Pin and would like to get some comments. Has anyone used it. Did it increase or decrease ignition reliability. Any other advantages.

I have had many reports that the titanium firing pins are too light and suffer ignition reliability issues. These were hot items five or six years ago and many of the folks that installed them went back to the original firing pins shortly thereafter. Most claimed that they did not notice any appreciable difference in lock time and the detonation reliability issue more than offset any intended benefit of using the titanium pin.
