Good day everyone, first post here!
I have a MK II standard in Stainless with 6" tapered barrel and fixed iron sights. I recently picked up a Ruger MK II Target adjustable rear sight and now my pistol shoots high due to a low front sight.. I than ordered a MK II Target front sight but only to find out that they are not interchangable! I love iron sights and wish i could upgrade to adjustable sights! am i out of luck? can someone please share some knowledge with me..?

I also have been down this road. There is a lower built adjustable rear sight unit, but shoot, I am hard-headed and built a new front sight blade out of some stock. One of the other guys here can probably point you in the right direction for the lower rear unit.

Yes, there is a add on front sight that is tall enough for your standard barrel pistol with adjustable sights. It is made by Millett. This sight is part of the Millett 100 Series sights. They make a taller pin on front sight for the Mark I and Mark II pistols. You can get the RS22007 - white line ramp or the RS22008 - orange ramp sight. You can see a picture of one at this page http://www.millettsights.com/index.php/ ... dgun_front
Scroll down the page and look at the one in the box labeled "fixed".
Hope this helps.
