Eotech sight on MarkIII

Post by cool_husker » Sun Oct 28, 2007 10:56 pm

Anyone out there tried a EOTECH sight on their MARKII? I have a eotech that I had on my LEO Duty M4 AR15 and I moved to alaska and left it back in Nebraska with my dad. I was think about having him send up the sight since I am not using it and try it on a MARKIII. Just curios if anyone has used one on theirs? Figure it would be okay since it cost more than the gun, don't no if I will be able to use the NV option unless they turn out the lights at the range.
Thanks,

I guess you could do that but isn't it going to add a lot of weight to your Ruger and make it a little top heavy? I've got an EOTech 511 on my S&W MP15 but I don't think I'd consider it as a sight for a pistol. There are a lot of red dots out there at reasonable prices that would seem more suitable. I had a Tru-Glo on my Mark II before I sold the pistol and I really liked it. Made me actually think I was a pistol shooter!
