Hello,
I currently have a nice bruise growing on my shoulder after adjusting the sights on my sporterized '03 Springfield, which has no recoil pad. I am looking for suggestions on an aftermarket pad that I can cut/sand/grind to fit. Any suggestions? It came to me this way, so I don't have any data about the stock. It's a nice Monte Carlo style piece of walnut. The butt plate says 'Bishop'. A little longer length of pull is no problem and will actually be a plus since I have long arms (no pun intended

)
Thx,
-Chris

Try to find a Pachmayr Dece;erator, they will soften the recoil of most any gun, and make it pleasurable to shoot. Yoy may also look int a Muzz;e break to reduce felt recoil.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

I just ordered a Pachmayr pad that should do the job. I'll post an update once I have it fitted and have tried it out.
