I shot my LC9 high until I became one with the grip and the sights, which took a bit longer than it should. It might have done better for me if I had a laser, properly bore sighted. That being said, at 20-30 feet I don't need to aim the pistol.
bgreene, your summary on using the laser sights was pretty good. It gives a pretty good set of reasons to have a laser sight. Almost enough for me to move away from the M65 with hot .357's for HD.
