Springfield XDS 3.3 .45acp
SA just unveiled a new product at SHOT Show 2012, the XDS 3.3 .45acp, sub-compact single stack .45acp. Video:

I haven't been able to find the exact specs of the pistol, but in another video I saw Rob Latham noted that it measures slightly under 1" across the slide release/take down lever. The Glock 36 (single stack .45) is 1.13" slide width, the XDS is quite an improvement over that. Only downside is 5 in the mag, but the thing looks tiny in height which is great for carry. I'm excited.
I like Glocks, but if SA comes out with this model in other calibers like .40 S&W and 9mm, Glock better watch out.

Below is more info on the pistol:

The only drawback I see right now is the weight: 29 ounces. Pretty heavy for it's size. However, " across the slide stop for a 45" is nice!

Thanks BFD, 21 ounces seems much more logical for it's size.
I thought it could be a typo, but I had also seen a photo of SA's booth at SHOT and it had 29 ounces listed as well, but I think that was also a mistake in labeling in label the booth... I was finding it hard to believe that it's significantly smaller than a Glock 22, yet weighs nearly 7 ounces more.
