With OM's idea of "a lot of ammo", you better add some food and sleeping bags.........

Food and drink are good, but no sleepoing bags, can't take time out from shooting to sleep.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

So it's good thing it's dark?

And you don't care if anyone can see, so long as you can shoot?

You'all better make that food, sleeping bags, and body armor.......

Gatmandu.. you already have a lot of good advice here and evidence that shooting tight groups is a goal.. but more often than not - is a surprise rather than the norm.

One critical success factor to hitting what you aim at.. is trigger control. And you can practice that at home by dry firing.. and do so with the intent of doing it well. Your Ruger is built to allow dry firing without risk of damage to the firing pin, etc. Relax and enjoy the journey.
