for defense, I thought the idea was to spread 'em out a little...
if you shoot the perp in the same hole over and over your not RE-wounding him.
abdomen, knee-cap, chest, knee-cap, head
now THAT's a good five-shot "group"...
In Michigan we are more thoughtful, 7 shots COM will pretty well stop the threat, you Texans are just plain mean with this knee cap shooting. Or is this an old mafia debt collector method?
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

I think it's a lesson from the Rum-Runners(tm) on the Deetroit River
back in the Roaring-20s...

Hey, we're nice in Texas...
after the Battle of the Alamo (which was a total loss, to you non-historians)
we captured Santa Ana's army at San Jacinto (near Houston) while they
were taking their siesta... and ended up letting them go back home...
(only to return this generation...)... so that Santa Ana could peddle
chicle
(chewing gum) in New York.

If it were not for the rumrunners on the DEETroit River, who knows how long it would have taken to invent fast boats?
Yepthat Snata Annana was one mean dude. I visited teh Alamo in December of 1988 and you kind Texan shut down the deat so us Northern boyw would feel at home. The 2nd coldest temp ever recorded in Housto was when Ma and I visited our 2 dayghter whe were living ther at the time. Was surprised that the Alamo was right in the center of town, gusess Us Yankees haave seen it in the middle of no where in all the old western movies.Right down the street from the Menger Hotel where Teddy Roosevelt recruited the Rough Riders. Y'all hurry back now ya' hear.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Blindpig: Some days I do better than others, but it took forever to take out the red center.

Self-defense is probably anything in a 6-8" circle.

Mark Rugers

Post by John fox » Thu Apr 19, 2007 9:41 am

I have a Mark I [Liberty model] and a MarkII here in Jersey but also have a Mark II in Vegas for desert shoots. Can't stay away from the Rugers.
Also have a lot of their single actions in different calibers.
