Congratulations! Mark threes are okay out of the box, but even better with a few goodies. The LCI and mag safety removals are no-brainers. Took me a while to talk myself into the trigger kit, but was glad I did.

You should be proud of your accomplishments tearing down and reassembling the 22/45. Now that you've taken on this task I'm sure you have a better understanding on how it all works together. Each model has its pro's and con's as far as maintenance is concerned. The bottom line is how you feel about it and how that feeling effects your performance with the pistol. Sounds like you have already seen an improvement in yours.

Congratulations. You've made a good shooting pistol a better shooting pistol. You can also add the "they shoot better with a few easy, drop in mods" when talking about it at the range.

Bill, Glad to hear your mods worked out. My 22/45 was my first effort for such interior mods. Also, the work gives one a real sense of satisfaction when all is done and the pistol responds well. I have a bull barrel without the pre-drilled screw holes for an accessory rail. I am Not ready to attempt that. So, the barrel will go to Ruger for the drill / tap and rail mount. Then I get to play with my new AimPoint Red Dot sight!


Has anyone had Ruger do this gunsmith service? :D
