Need another Ruger?
Get one with a factory threaded barrel.

Looks like it needs your choice of red dots to go with the interchangeable grips and the can.

If this continues I'm going to just have to get a suppressor, it seems. 4.5" barrel on a RP 22/45 is getting pretty damn close to just doing it and going through the BATFEIEIO's paperwork.
After a gun, suppressor, mags, and expensive subsonic ammo ... I suppose a good holo-sight wouldn't be significant to the project, would it?

A mere drop in the bucket. BTW, you didn't include the new grip panels.bigfatdave wrote:If this continues I'm going to just have to get a suppressor, it seems. 4.5" barrel on a RP 22/45 is getting pretty damn close to just doing it and going through the BATFEIEIO's paperwork.

If you ain't got one, you need an open bottom holster, too.
We all need another Ruger. If I ever hit the Lottery, I could do with several more Rugers. Just no plastic, except the stocks on the new 77/22 and Mini-14 I'd get........

Just checked with my local smith, threaded isbgreenea3 wrote:threaded is fine, supressors are a felony..... I'm not sure if BATF would overule the state law on that..bearandoldman wrote:Don't think us MI boys can have one of them, state does not allow suppressors or guns that are threaded to take one. Would have to check with my local smith to be sure.
OK except it mat require q lot of explaining to you or one of your fellow officers, so most MI dealers will most likely not stock them. Just like according to MI law, carrying in the open is legal but again, may require a lot of explaining and a trip to the jail?
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

and if you are hauled to jail for open carry the PD is in the wrong unless there is a local ordinance on it, then it usually would be a muniole civil infraction or a misdemeanor.... you will most likely attract LE attention though, so do not be surprised if you do.

good. If threaded was illegal, then a bunch of P22's would be illegal.bgreenea3 wrote:"its for my muzzle break" for the threaded bbl.bearandoldman wrote:J ust checked with my local smith, threaded isbgreenea3 wrote: threaded is fine, supressors are a felony..... have no knowledge at all of the Walther P22 series of pistols, do they all have a threaded barrel? My local shop does thread and install muzzle brakes pn rifles but I have heard him refust to thread a barrel for someone he does not know.

Umarex pandered to the clowns in CA and made a version with a "fixed barrel", they're marked P22CA, I think.greener wrote:good. If threaded was illegal, then a bunch of P22's would be illegal.
Of course, the nut is simply locked on with red loctite and lacks the flats for the wrench, nothing that couldn't be reversed with a dremel (flats) and heat gun (loctite) in an hour or two, if you wanted it pretty. Faster if you didn't care.
I think a mkIII would make a better supressor host, anyone who actually knows what they're talking abou RE supressors want to opine on the subject? I imagine the supressor and slide would batter together the same way the slide and weight bonk together on the poorly thought-out "target P22", so you'd need the long barrel, and adapter, and then the supressor, leaving a goofy gap with the 3.4" slide and 5" barrel.
