Good choice. I don't like levers.......MUCH. I only have 2 Win. 92s in .45 Colt (Rossi clones), 1 Marlin 1895 in 45-70, 1 Marlin 336 in 30-30 (of course) and a Henry .22. My next lever has to be a Marlin 39.
You will enjoy that rifle, a friend of mine has one and loves it.
Now you need a .45 Colt SAA (or clone) or Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt to go with it. Don't want it to get lonesome.
Thanks for the pic.

oops, I forgot the 4 Daisy .117s 2 Red Ryders and 2 older ones.

I love mine!
An empty weapon is just a very expensive hammer.

My gal and I went out to watch the new movie "True Grit" starring Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Hailee Steinfeld.
It was good, but I like the original, starring John Wayne, Glen Cambpell, Kim Darby just a little bit better.
"The Duke" sure knows how to star in westerns, especially when he "swings" the
Winchester Model 1892 Lever action around to reload it ! Look at this picture:

First two targets with Big Boy. 50 yards off of my range bag.

Like them BIG holes when they appear inthe paper. I enjoy shooting my 1894C in .38/..357 and watching the MEDium size hole appear in the black.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Hey Chef,
I am licking my chops over that rifle you just bought. I just started reloading 45colt for my Ruger convertible, and I think the round would be great in a rifle. Nice shooting at those targets.

Nice Shoting.
Your a better shooter than I am with open sight. I'm not sure I could see the target at 50 yrds without helps from optics. I do like the stance that lever gun gives.
