Newbie Ruger Mark-III 22/45 Questions

Well, there is no lack of information on the 22/45 on this forum but I'm having a hard time putting it all together. I've ordered a Mark-III 22/45RP which I intend to use as a beginning Bullseye shooter. I'm interested in the various upgrades available.

Specifically:

Removing Mag Disconnect: Will the Volquartsen Mark-II Barrel Bushing solve this problem or do you have to go the Clark route? I understand the impact of Clark's oversizing but would rather use one I don't have to press in.

Accuracy Upgrade: Can you use the Volquartsen Mark-II kit in the Mark-III? Does that provide any advantages (i.e. Mk-II hammer)?

Kit vs Parts: Is there an advantage to using the kit vs buying the sear and trigger? It seems most people don't use the Volquartsen sear spring and I can't use the bolt release on a 22/45. Do the other parts add much to reducing & smoothing the trigger pull? What does the Volquartsen target hammer contribute?

Other Parts: I would appreciate comments on the virtues of the Volquartsen titanium disconnector, the reduced power trigger plunger and mainspring kit, and the Bolt Tune-Up Kit.

Thanks for any input on this ... individual topics have been discussed before but putting in one place will be helpful.

Also, any comments on just how hard these mods are to do. I've done simple work on 1911s so I'm not afraid of taking things apart ... and putting them back together.

Before you remove the mag disconnect make sure it's legal in the league you are shooting in. Some do not allow any safety devices to be removed.

The VQ will work but not as good. You still have 2 rotating surfaces which will/can cause creep and incosistant trigger feel.

You can use the VQ MKII kit. Some due since they have removed the mag disconnect.

The Kit is more expensive, in most all cases you do not use all the parts. It all depends on how far you want to go. For a lower trigger the sear is all that's needed.

As far other parts:

The Ti disconnector is lighter which means you can run a lighter trigger plunger spring. May impact timing but I dought that you will notice any difference. The VQ Trigger already comes with a reduced power one. Some times the extra power main spring is required with VQ hammer since it's lighter. Requires a jig to remove/install.
