Khar P45 or PM40 what are your thoughts on reliability
Would like to get another carry pistol, don't need too many shoots would like to hear the Khar line of autos
The Kahr is comparable with the Glock 26/27 models. It is a small relatively lightweight gun that conceals well and operates in a double action only striker fired mode. I don't own one of these personally, but I have inspected and worked on them. Here's some links of reviews for you to look at. http://www.kahr.com/reviewpage.html
Hope this helps.

Tbag, have you looked at Springfield's sub-compact XD? I had one of these and they're a lot of gun for the money. I liked particularly the way it fit my hand with the 1911-angle grip. I used to carry it as my CCW but I reverted to my Kimber Pro Carry II and ended up selling the XD to a friend of mine. The XD's are also single-action only, which I like better than the DAO.

Normal carry gun is an SA Micro Compact in OD Green, alloy frame and an even 2 pounds loaded. If I feel the extra need for more weight and a slightly longer barre, my SA V-10 but that is another half pund and after a few hours you can really notice the extra weight.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

That is not the published weight it is actual weight on a kitchen scale. According to SA, gun is supposedly 23 or 24 oz with alloy frame. Loaded stainless mag with 7 rounds 230 grain JHP's came out even 2 pounds on the scale.Tbag wrote:BearandOldman, your right even my Kimber CDP 3" loaded weighs about 28oz plus or minus and it get's to ya after a while

Yes, a friend at the club has one and it is a nice looking gun also. I kind of got hooked on the OD Green for some reason. Used the kitchen scale one day and with a Wilson 47OX mag and 7 rounds of 230 grain JHP came out an even 2 pounds, at least within a 1/4 ounce. Good shooter also, hope yours is too, have seen a lot of peiple that have trouble with the short barrel 1911's.Tbag wrote:Kimber CDP 24oz before the ritual of loading, about the same as the SA

I also have an SA V-10 whichis a 3-1/2 in but staainless ferame and blued slide and ported barrel with slotted slide. They both shoot well and even handle my lighter handloads taht I use for practice ammo. Guess we are both luck, of course all you hear about on the forums are the bad ones as no one posts that things are good, just the noemal nature of people.

Accuracy
Tbag, I'm curious as to how accurately you shoot it. I don't care about the accuracy shooting out of a Ransome Rest, it isn't a target pistol. I'm just wondering what your experience is with your accuracy in shooting it.
I recently bought a Kahr M9098, which is the small 9mm package. I can hit the broad side of a barn with it, with the exception of a few flyers.
I have a small Kimber 1911, and I'm amazed at my accuracy with it. I shoot it as well as I do the Government model. Not so with the little Kahr. However, I will echo what you said: it has been flawless, and it is very well made. I love the way it feels in my hand. It is 9mm vs 32 ACP like my Seecamp, but isn't as concealable.
