Millett RD00006
Hello I just got a new Ruger MKIII 22/45 I have installed a VQ sear and trigger but I want to mount a red dot for shooting plates/pins at 12-15 yards. I know about the ultradot and how good they are BUT i get dealer cost on this red dot for 69.00 out the door.

They look alot like an ultradot and if anyone has any experience with them that would be great. I havent seen much comments about them on the net.
Great website I didnt know anything about these ruger pistols til I found this website.
Thanks,
John

Welcome to Gun Talk. That sure looks like a good price on that scope. My old wore out eyes have trouble picking up the red dot in a tube scope quickly. I bought a Mueller Quick Shot Reflex and it helped me a bunch. I got mine from Joe Bob's for $95.00 delivered. You might take a look at one and see if you might like it. Good luck.

Your not to far off on price to get a Ultradot , They come with a Lifetime Warranty vs 5yr.
I have a Mueller QuickShot on my MKIII that has been flawless. Plenty of brightness for shooting in Bright Sunlight. Manual brightness is nice if you shoot in a indoor range.

Re: Millett RD00006
I own 2 Millets. Great dot scopes. I prefere a 25 for rimfire and 30 for .45, but that is just personal. Bushnells seem to work well for a few years then fail. Have not have that problem with Milletts.
My pick would be between an Ultra Dot then Millett.

When Millet was made in Japan they were a very well made dot that rivaled my beloved Ultra Dots.
They moved production to China a few years ago and forgot to bring along the quality control the Japanese models had. They have been hit and miss since. You either got a good one or you didn't, and the didn't percentage increased by a lot.
I haven't heard lately if the QC has improved to the 'Made in Japan' level.
