ruger mark III 22/45 polmer frame grips.

I decided I would modify my own grips that are alot slimer and feel alot better. You don't have to grind down the frame. Thats one thing I did not want to do to make the frame weak. I went to the gun shop found some used Houge grips for a 45. They are nice because they are thick plastic wrapped in rubber. Finger grooved ones would work also. I grind out the back of the grips with a dremmell tool. Set the grips on the stock plastic frame and wrap them with masking tape real tight. found a small drill bit and drilled a small piolt hole ont the stock ruger frame. Took off the grips and work up with drill bits untill the holes were big enough to fit 45. grip screws. Then thats it. basically any45. grips will work. I just finished some wood ones. This is a do it yourself project so someone might have a better idea to do it. And you don't get ripped off.
I can't seem to get pics to work on here but I have some on the other web site if someone wants to see them.
