me and a buddy both bought new 41's. if your shooting and your thumb pushes the safty up just a hair, not even close to covering the red dot the gun won't shoot. I'm talking just 1/32 up, we both have this prob. is anybody else or any suggestions.

This is a typical problem with the M-41. The little metal safety detent tab (under the left side grip) can be removed and bent downward slightly - this will tighten up the lever and solve the inadvertent thumb safety engagement problem.
