I just got a new pistol!

It's a High Standard Model C.

Made somewhere between 1939-1942!

It's in great shape. I'm hoping to pick it up this weekend.

Darn 48 hour waiting period for a 22 short pistol...

Sounds like a good buy.

The 48-hour wait might save me a bunch, but I doubt it. The Michigan handgun purchase laws of a number of years ago kept me from buying one. Too much hassle. The change is definitely an improvement.

Be glad you don't live in the People's Republik of Kalifornia..... there is a 10 day hostage holding on any firearm. Pistol, rifle or shotgun... it doesn't matter, you won't see it for 10 days.

Congrats on the new pistol. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" -or - "The waiting period just makes you want it more via anticipation."

I don't miss the Cali waiting period; it actually went down, for a while there it was 15 days.
