New Member with Ruger Std Auto Question

Post by oldpal » Thu Feb 04, 2010 10:46 am

I just joined as a new member from Augusta, GA and have a question. I have a late model Ruger Standard Auto pistol. Will a VQ extractor function in this pistol? Midway has it on sale for $10 but the add doesn't mention it will work in the Standard or Mark I. I called VQ but didn't get a definitive answer. The person I spoke with said, "Well, I think it should work." If it's a go for the Standard, I'll order it. Also I'm planning on getting a Mark III 22/45, so maybe I'll order 2 extractors. Thanks for your help.

If it listed for a Ruger 10/22 it will work.

Yep, Midway says that it is also for a 10/22, so it should work. Thanks.

Welcome to Guntalk-Online!

The extractors are the same for Ruger Mark 22 Autos and the Standards. They also used the same part for the 10/22 but replaced the plunger spring with one that has more tension. Reuse your original extractor plunger spring when replacing the extractor hook.
