Sear Pivot Pin

I have detailed strip my Mark lll 678 Ruger. It turned out ok I believed. However, I am a little bit curious of my re-assembly of the sear pivot pin. In my lasts detailed stripping of such pin, I was able to insert it back smoothly, without much effort.

During this last reassembly, I can't insert it smoothly, but with much effort. I have tapped it with a wood pin and rubber mallet. Before insertion I have examined the holes in my frame and the roundness of the sear pivot pin, I believed it is in its original condition.

I have it fired down the range, 200 CCI sub-sonic without a hiccup of any kind.

Do I have to worry or be wary of any eventualities of this abnormality I have encountered in its installation?

If I recall on mine one end was deformed just a tad so it did not shift when it was full inserted. I believe the direction to be from left to right with the right end holding the pin.

As long as it stays put you're fine. In the frame, it is fully supported and should not be of any concern.
