I got this Ruger 10-22 target for a steal. NIB stainless with a Tasco variable scope. The glass is cheap, but will be fine for a squirrel/plinker rifle at under 100yds. Fun rifle!

mk 70, I have a 10/22T pretty much the same as yours, except mine has the blued barrel. I have 4 Tasco scopes, a 2.5x10x42AO, a 6-24x42Ao and 2 10-40x50AO's plus a Barska 8-321x50AO and they all work as well as my old eyes. Can not see spending more than the rifle cost for a scope too impress some name dropper. As far as the trigger guard, all it does is hold the components, I have 3 metal and one plastic and they all seem to work the same, all have been altered to a 2-1/23 pound pull by my local smith. Can really not tell the difference between them.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Mine has a Tasco 3-9 variable with a 40AO. Seems to work fine at any distance I'll use a .22 for. If I need more distance or oomph I'll grab the .223or .308.bearandoldman wrote:mk 70, I have a 10/22T pretty much the same as yours, except mine has the blued barrel.
