I have a 6 7/8 inch fluted SS barrel on my Ruger Mark III but find it a little muzzle heavy. Does anyone have any experience with aftermarket 5 inch bull barrels they would like to share?

I have the same barrel on mine:

but I have a matchdot sight on mine:

this helps me shoot. I would have to agree, it is a heavy barrel, and when I am feeling a little weak (often these days) it is hard to hold stable.

I have the same gun. The addition of a scope seams to help balance the weight, though it is heavy.

I have the KMK512 with a red dot which I shoot one handed 99% of the time . All rugers are kinda on the heavy side. but the 5.5 bull barrel on mine with the red dor balances fine. Clark Customs changes out Barrels on these ruger's you may want to look them up on the net .........Keith

I put a Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite barrel on mine and added a red dot. That with all the Volquartsen and Clark parts makes a real sweet shooter.
