KAZ wrote:greener, just when I had you firmly in the Good Guy category you go and start a run on pre ban hammers! Hoarding, led by our own bearandoldman will make hammers to expensive, and in short supply. There will also be an effort to embed serial numbers on nails to prevent mis use.
Hope there will be a lucrative mrket for contraband hammer, mine are for sale for the right price, no questions asked, cash only and nothing larger than a double sawbuck.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Fortunately, I have got a good supply of hammers, before the rush starts on hoarding them. I do have to check the laws concerning interstate carrying. Also, when buying hammers out of state, do I have to have them shipped to an individual with a FHL ? (Federal Hammer License)

You mean those fine, antique hammers with the carefully oiled and refinished hickory and ash stocks?

Did I mention the shortage of 8d and 16d sinkers?

Well, we have been having some fun with this, but I suspect that when all history is accounted far more unlucky souls have been dispatched by a solid hit on the head than firearms 8)

Bludgeoning has been a leading cause of violent deaths.

Probably the first weapon other than a rock was a hammer. Also a very effective tool for large animal slaughter. The place in a slaughterhouse where Elsie begins her trip to steak is known as the "knock."
