My Mark III hunter came with a scope rail. I just want to make sure I am buying a red dot sight that will mount up. Is it the "Fits standard .22 rimfire/airgun Weaver bases" or "Fits standard centerfire Weaver bases". Seems obvious but I am mail ordering so I want to be sure. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.
I think you want the standard weaver sight base. Fixed mount sights like the BSA 30mm will fit as will any red dot that comes with rings. If not, you can buy the correct rings. I have the BSA and a couple of Bushnell Trophy red dots. They all fit without as they come.

Any scope mount that fits a Weaver base will work with your Hunter's rail. Ruger changed from their proprietary scope rail to a weaver mount several years back to make their pistols more attractive to perspective buyers.

Thanks Bullseye and Greener. Great website! I was able to disassemble and clean my MKIII. I would never have been able to get it done without the pictures and instructions.
