Yup, I better get over to Wally World and get 6 or 8 bulk packs before the damn hoarders get it.toyfj40 wrote:http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=65jHazxWXCAbearandoldman wrote:an Ultimate Cliploader is what us really old guys use.

the problem with the UCL is that you then need
more-Mags to justify the loader...
also, ammo does not last as long, if you use the UCL...
and ammo is becoming more scarce... due to "the Hoarders",
( unless we get there first... )

I have a UCL but I rarely use it. I find it a bit big to put in the range bag, and I don't like having to lube it. Also on some level it bugs me that it is The Ultimate "Clip" Loader, I'm being perfectly honest when I say I would probably use it more if it were "The Ultimate Magazine Loader"toyfj40 wrote:

I feel you on the Ammo, Toy. It's very sad to say this but I'm actually not going to the range this week due to lack of ammo. I've gone from 3 times a week to 0, it almost brings a tears to my eyes

In the last 2 days I've checked 2 Wally Worlds, 3 Academies, 1 Bass Pro Shop, 1 Dicks, 1 Sportsman's Warehouse and several online dealers -- only to find NOTHING. If this keeps up I'll have to get an air pistol just to stay at the same skill level.

Been doing the same thing myself, it's about time to go to Wally World and get some of those Federal bulk pack put away so the hoarders don't get them.greener wrote:Then there are those of us who are perfectly happy with taking one magazine and loading it by hand. I did that with Maw Sunday and we still went through about 400 rounds of .22. I do have to do my part and buy more .22, just to keep it out of the hands of hoarders.

I've been trying to get my hands on those or CCI Blazer bulk. They are good enough for 25yrd bullseye practice. No luck on finding any though.bearandoldman wrote: Been doing the same thing myself, it's about time to go to Wally World and get some of those Federal bulk pack put away so the hoarders don't get them.
All I have been able to find at Wally World is Remington Target, they shoot fine but a lot of FTF.
One of the Wally Worlds in my area started a new policy -- you can only buy 2 boxes of ammo per caliber per day.

Why would you hate to say it? Read some of these quotes from Democrats running OUR COUNTRY. There are four pages for the readers with strong stomachs.lucam wrote:O-B-A-M-A.
Hate to say it, but my suspicions are that everyone is panic buying.
Good luck finding your gun!

correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't i need to find someone with an FFL that would be willing to do this. I assume only gun shops would have these and they would not be real happy to tranfer a gun that they could have sold.laportechaarlie wrote:Harper_07,
If you are not opposed to buying over the internet you should be able to find several on Gunsamerica, Gunbroker or AuctionArms. I have bought and sold many guns this way and have not had a single problem (yet)

Right besides shipping af most likely $40.00 for a handgun and $50.00 for a transfer from your local dealer, you alienate him to the point that if you do need his services for something, you may be at the bottom of his list or the top of that other list.harper_07 wrote:correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't i need to find someone with an FFL that would be willing to do this. I took the new gun out today and put 200+ rounds thru it. I can see that a new extrctor would pay for itself. My shooting was better today, I am getting more of a feel for it. I just need to shoot alott to get tighter groups. I kept about 95% in a 5 inch circle, I feel good about that being new to pistols. So I need an new sear and extrctor. I can see this is going to be a money pit
