Mark lll Sear Spring Question?

I think I'm going to have to create a 'Blue Hair' group for all the aged shooters we have here.

All kidding aside, older shooters are wiser ones. After all you can't gain experience if you do not survive beyond your youth.

Well then, they could enjoy the club as well. Maybe you could be the "elder" of the club.

back when I was a young ws'r, a buddy and I traveled to the UP camping, and hiked from Mirror Lake to Lake of the Clouds. I noticed them in your profile.

Wow! That's one of the coolest places I've ever been. Really impressive scenery. If you're willing to hike and camp down into the forest the trees are awesome. It's almost all old growth timber.

Yes Lake of the Clouds is really great scenery and it is pretty much untouched by logging. It has bee a State Park for many years, In the Northwest part of the Porcupine Mountains, that is as big as mountains are e her in flatlander country, they speak Yooper up there, eh? Get any further west and you will be in the Land of the Cheeseheads..
Bullseye, have to look in my workbench, pretty sure my "cubit" tape measure is in there someplace.

I think it's time to introduce my shooting skills, or lack of them (ahem). The first photo is 35rds, at 7yds from my Beretta M9 9mm. I have just started to come around with this hg. If I had taken my time a little bit, I could probably tighten the group up a little. I think I'm flinching some because of recoil. This poses a question: Although I am determined, and I am getting better with the Beretta, I find other semi-autos easier to shoot, like the 1911 style. Is it common to shoot different styles better then others? Can you shoot all styles equally?

The second photo is with my Ruger Mark lll Hunter. 100 rds, at 7yds, with 7 rds of 45 acp mixed in. Two 45's are just out of the black at about 2 o'clock, the other 5 found the black. The reason for this post, other then I have nothing better to do, is this is the first time to the range with the new VOLQUARTSEN accurizing kit installed. Wow, what a hair trigger. I have to be careful with NRA rule #2. ( you know what rule that is). Some of the wayward shots were because the pretravel set screw started to migrate inward, causing the trigger to not reset. It took my concentration away. I borrowed somebody's allen wrench (I forgot to bring mine) and had to keep adjusting it. This gun is now a sweet shooter. LOOKOUT bullseye (the target bullseye, that is).
