eXTENDED MAG REALEASE
HI, Just bought a new Ruger Hunter. Also purchased a pair of Volquartsen Volthane grips with the heel rest and thumb rest. It came with an extended magazine realease and another piece of metal. It did not come with instructions. Can anyone help me figure out how to install these? I think the metal piece may be an extended bolt release. Thanks for any assistance. Cheryl

Cheryl, Take a look at this thread - http://www.guntalk-online.com/forum/vie ... 6928#16928 Hakaman has a set of those VQ Mark III Volthane grips. You should be able to see the parts in the lower pictures. The little extend mag release button goes inside the grip and fits over the top of the original. The extended bolt stop lever has to go in place of the original. The maintenance procedures http://www.guntalk-online.com/detailstrip.htm#Removal have the procedure to replace it. When you remove the pistol's hammer pivot pin, the old bolt release will come off with it. Exchange in the new one and replace the hammer pivot pin with it.
