Well the light strikes started again
After I got this gun back from Ruger for the second time and putting probably 1500 rounds thru it it started to light strike again. Well I read on a forum that someone had the same trouble and a new mainspring solved his problem. I switched mainsprings from my Mark 2 and put it in my Mark 3 which is...

I purchased a Beretta 92FS back in 1993 or so. I don't know how many rounds I have put thru it mabee 10 or 12 thousand. The only time I ever saw it fail is when my old girlfriend was limp wristing it. I gently took it from her hands and emptied the magazine without a problem. Extremely reliable and ...

Well the light strikes started again!
I wanted to give an update. After sending the gun back to Ruger and they replaced the trigger stop screw the gun functioned flawlessly for about 1000 rounds - then started to light strike just like before. I called Ruger and they sent a call tag. They said "we take it very seriously when a gun comes...

Well yesterday I got a chance to test the Mark 3 as it came back from Ruger. I ran 80 rounds of federal bulk thru it. I had 1 dud but put it back in the gun and tried 2 more times and it still did not go bang. I am convinced since the round had 3 dings around the rim that it was a bad round. The pri...

Well I ordered the vq extractor but decided to throw in the towel anyway before trying the new extractor. I called Ruger and they sent a call tag. It is on the way to them now. I put all stock parts back in including magazine disconnect, factory sear, loaded chamber indicator and factory hammer bush...

Hi Ball, I see your location is in Illinois. If you are looking at a "carry" gun I assume you mean for self defense. This would (I hope you never need to find out) 2 legged threats. The 10mm in my opinion is way too much for self defense. I would be concerned about over penetration. Remember YOU are...
