Mark 3 VQ Sear Install

Post by gabby » Fri Mar 02, 2007 7:46 pm

First post here.
Thank You Bullseye for the time you have spent putting together the variuos informative pieces with photos.
I have just purchased a Mark 3 Hunter.
This is my first 22 and I am having fun toying with it.
I have used them to disassemble the gun for cleaning, adjust the factory overtravel set screw and replace the sear with a VQ sear.
I might consider another trigger but first want to put a few more rounds through it to see if the pre/overtravel bothers me. It doesn't on other guns I shoot but I have never tried to shoot so accuratly.
Other items I might change are the Hi Vis sights. They seem pretty big for accurate shooting to me.
I did call Ruger and you can get the target iron front and rear sights for less the $10.00.
This is the link I used for the sear replacement.

It's kind of addicting....
Thanks again....

Add the trigger, Gabby. You won't believe how much better the pistol will feel and shoot with the trigger upgrade until you do it.
