Those were the days. In 1956-7-8 or so, I would very often take my single shot .22 with me On The School Bus to school, leave it in the coat room (each grade in its own room) then after school, walk through town, across several farms, hunting squirrels, rabbits, quail, etc on the way home to our farm. Admittedly I was related by blood or marriage to almost everyone in the county then. And a buddy and I taught our 8th grade teacher how to shoot, and hunt on the weekends of that year. When I was in high school in the late 40's graduated in 1950. I used to take my 12 gage single shot, broken down and wrapped in a canvas and about 10 shells to school with me and put them in my locker. After School I would take the school bus with my friend who lived in the country and we would go hunting pheasants behind hos house. My folks would pick me up in the evening. Do that now?hohohohoho
