Henry found a new companion
And Moses has most likely lost one. Put that classic old Weaver K2.5 on Henry last night and bore sighted him and he liked it. Took him to the range this afternoon and looks like we have a winner, the scope both looks right and shoots right.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Petey live a full and enjoyable life, at least for me, and died doing service to his country. He is survived by his big brother Paul who is restring in the work room with a new coat of orange paint.KAZ wrote:A nice marriage! Looks like they were made for each other. To bad Petey didn't survive for testing.

Well, the weather was not bad for mid November here in MI today, 50F, sin and little wind if any. So, Bear and I took Henry and his new companion, Moses and freshly painted Paul to the range for some fun. We also had a new Barska spotter to try out.Henry shoots well with that K2.5 and I think it will stay on him, don't think he missed Paul once. Did shoot a target to show, not bad for a small scope. Henry seems to like that Centurion ammo.

Petey survived a lot of rounds of .22LR, until he finally broke in half at the midsection. His vital area had been shot so full of holes ther was not much left. Sometimes he would barely move as the bullet shot through the riddled area. He will be replaced with a new set, they make a unit with 3 of them on the rack, maybe Peter, Paul and Mary? That barrel stays as it shoots pretty straight and the original shoots way right, the K2.5 stays also. At 25 yard it is just enough scope to get by on, got a K4 coming for Remona. Missed another K last night, someone bid it way over what I was willing to pay. Did see a K2.5 in original box go foe r close to 200 bucks.KAZ wrote:Life can be unfair! Paul gets a new paint job, and Petey gets a dumpster ride after years of faithful serviceHENRY does like that Centurion, you should leave that barrel in place. Regards

Some of those Ks are collectors, which kinds of messes up those like you and I who are SHOOTERS
Then again I'm still working on spending my children's inheritance so I'm willing to go overboard if I really want something. Regards

K.5 is mine says Henry
Well, the decision has been made, Henry gets to keep the old Weaver
k2.5. It works well for him and makes him look good, they were made for each other. Actually at 25 yards it is a fun gun to shoot at targets, especially if you have some of those one inch or so shoot n see round pasters. Love to see something happen when I shoot, you just have to see something happen when you are an old clay target shooter. Henry now has his replacement barrel which shoots much straighter than the original and the replacement stock for the chipped one.
