A Ruger MKII. 5 1/2 slab side bull barrel..competition target...
Added VQ grip, 2x scope, VQ trigger, I polished the sear and hammer so the pull went from 4.5 to 2.5....
Just ordered the VQ sear and the Extended bolt release...

Tom your picture did not come through. Do you have it on a free hosting site like Photobucket?

That barrel style is often referred to as a 'slab sided' barrel. I see VQ Volthane grips and a VQ trigger installed. Looks like it would be a really good shooter. I like the feel of those grips.

Called Ruger today about this gun and they told me it was a limited production model made in Feb of 1995....Listed as a MK 512 GC....
Just wondering about the barrel length...5 1/2.....most Government Competition models are 6 7/8....
Any help here.?????

The special model was a dealer exclusive for either Davidson's or Lipsey's. Usually these had special thumb rest grips and a gold anodized trigger. That pistol also has the Ruger exclusive style scope base and rings instead of the Weaver style mount they started shipping in 2004 with all target version pistols.
