Guns Magazine began publishing in Jan 1955. For their 50th Anniv,
they are making avail the first years edition, each as a .pdf file.
They have a link to the current-anniv-issue on their home page,
but after a little thought I figured out how to get the older ones ;)
Each issue is fairly large and is some 50-60 pages.
If you have the bandwidth, the articles are written with a long-lost
style and the ads do not contain:
"Area Codes", "Zip Codes", "eMail addresses" or "Web Addresses"... ;)
I assume the remaining issues will become available around
the first of each month.

That's some interesting reading. I particularly enjoyed the article on John Brown's rifle.

Thanks,

In the "Guns for hunting" story it sure is nice to see the trusty Savage model 99 on the first page! I use my dad's circa 1953 savage to this day and it looks exactly like the one in the picture. Perhaps a 99-EG. What a beautiful rifle.

Thanks for posting these links!
