Cleaning Tac-Sol compensator

I've had a bear of a time cleaning the lead/powder fouling out of my tac sol comp in the past. The last time I cleaned it I found that a 3/16" & 9/64" drill bit fit the holes exactly so I took a file & ran it across the very outer cutting edge a few times to keep from damaging or removing any more material & enlarging or egg-shaping the holes. I chuck em in a hand drill & with low speed run it thru each hole & it cleans the buildup right out of it. Then I soak it for a few in a good cleaner & brush the remaing fouling out of it. It works great & hasn't damaged my comp in any way however I do not drill the big hole (you know, the one the bullet comes out of) as I was admittedly a little leary of buggering it up but by the time I clean the others a brush will handle what little is left in the "business end" of the comp. The first time I did this I was quite surprised at the size of the chunks & the amount of fouling that I "drilled" out of there. Biggjimm.

you could use a 17 cal bore brush instead of a drill bit. and soaking fisrt might loosen the goop up before scrubbing

Seems like pipe cleaners would work, too?
