Well, New Orleans, actually
LA House Bill 8, written by Rep. Juan LaFonta (D. New Orleans) would require firearms serial number verification for any ammunition purchase. You would have to bring every firearm in you intend to use the purchased ammo in.

I can see Oldman backing up his Montero full of .22 rifles to the door of Walmart to buy a brick of CCI Blazer. Really, I can.
When I lived in New Orleans, the pols were just crooked. Now they've added dumb to the repertoire.
Saw this on another forum and had to do some searching to make sure it wasn't a joke.
Only in Louisiana

It will be a cold day when that happens my friend, it would be easier on you with all them short guns. A dozen or so long guns should would be a lot of toting to do. No wonder us Northern boys make more sense, hot weather has addled too many brains down South. You know, I think you are the only Southern Gentleman I have ever had anything to do with, II know you are a Gentleman because Congress did it and I have my doubts about them guys too.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.
