Hard to believe

Saw this on Fox news and it was most likely on others as it involved a GUN. Kalyfornia, high school student takes a gun to school in his backpack, sets backpack down AND GUN GOES OFF!!! Supposedly only one shot is fired and it hits 2 students one in the head and the other in the neck. One student is in critical condition, Police chief interviewed and that is his story also, sounds like all is not being told.

It's a real shame. I did hear that story a little differently but the premise is the same. Kid who brought the gun in the backpack tossed his pack onto the desk causing the gun to discharge. Two hit, one critically. In Cali, bringing a gun into a school zone is a felony, has been ever since old Patrick Purdy did it in Stockton, inspiring the Assault Weapons ban. Somebody's going to get charged for that one, hopefully the victims will all pull through with little after effects from their trauma.

The gun goes off when the backpack is put down? Short of a cocked revolver I have a great deal of difficulty coming up with how that happened. I believe two more were arrested for trying to cover it up. Curiouser and curiouser.

As usual "versions of the truth abound," and the story changes as the investigation continues. This is why the first versions of a story are always suspect.

As usual all concerned would love to blame the tool, and line up to sue the manufacture for the usafe product. Supported of course by media that remains uneducated on purpose. Same premise as how this can occur in a "Gun Free" Zone.[/i]

Yep, he broke that law to start out, so any more laws, sure will not help much,
