Reminds me of that scene in Blazing Saddles where Clevon Little holds a six shooter to his own head at the podium and bids to all the angry townspeople, "Stop or the *Sheriff* gets it!" (*- the word Sheriff was inserted into this quote)

BAD GUNHANDLING
June 1987--"One anecdote we heard down in the Andes referred to a Sandinista general who is fond of playing with his P35. Having used the ejection port to open a bottle of beer, he then sought to scratch his scalp with the muzzle, at which point--being ignorant of Rule 3--he touched the piece off. The result was considerable brain damage, but it is said that people who know the general cannot detect any difference in his behavior."

I wouldn't fret about our poor misguided Alpha Tango Foxtrot ball cap wearer, this photo appears to have been staged. Why else would the cameraman be forward of the firing line to capture an "Aw shoot" moment during a live firing session?

I'd bet on it being a staged photo.

The thing is, if the guy in the ATF had did touch that pistol off, his only injury would be having his left index finger blown off.

I think you're right Joe, no vital organs were in danger there!
