LOL, I hear that!

I already have a lever gun and dbl barrel scatter gun that would be acceptable, but I just cannot get back into single action revolvers again. I will stick with my autos and balloons or bowling pins.

I prefer Tilley's over Stetsons anyday too ;-)

Those single action revolvers are fun to shoot. You ought to try just one.

Over the years, I have had too many cowboy pistols to even count. Traded off my last one a few decades ago. Just never got attached to them like I did the little Ruger MKs or the .45s I now like.

I haven't run across many hand guns or long guns I don't enjoy shooting. I've run across a bunch that didn't excite me enough to own one. The cowboy revolvers may be in the class that I'll get one one of these days. I enjoy shooting the Ruger Single Six. Got in a groove with it last weekend and someone asked my what kind of target pistol I was shooting. He was a little disappointed when I told him it was an SA .22 revolver. Guess he liked things than made more noise.

SA Pistols

I know what you mean. The first revolver I ever shot was a High Standard Double Nine. I got very used to it and was able to keep a 'tin' can in the air til the cylinder was empty. Course back then, a tin can was steel and 22 ammo was 9 cents for a box of 50. Needless to say, every dime I saved was spent on ammo and I lived in our huge wooded area (hundreds of acres that my family leased I guess).
Never used the sights since it fit so well in my hand and the point was dead accurate. No idea whatever happened to that lil gun, but I imagine it went to a good home. I grew up some and fell in love with the Ruger Standard pistols and the rest is history.
