I think greener is just finally recovered from quitting smoking a few years ago, I think he put on nearly a hundred lbs after quitting and now has lost the combined weight of my three children in the last two years.
Now if I could quit my junk food and coffee addictions I would be all set...... They put the snickers bars on two-fer sales just to taunt me you know....

Quit smoking in 2007, after a long campaign of cutting down. I was down to 3 a day, couldn't decide which to cut out next. (wakeup, lunchtime, before bed)
It was rough for a while.
I quit on willpower, I still burn an occasional cigar while on vacation, but that's it.

The vac for small parts works well, unless the damn thing is stuck to the bottom of your foot, or never fell out in the first place.
My altoids tin of magnets is handy, too.

I didn't realize my post would end up so fattening!
I'm in favor of the Donut Police. My favorite pastry is a chocolate iced, vanilla creme filled Krispy Kreme donut. KK is only in a few states, and I grew up three blocks from one. Most of the grocery chains have petty good copies. Most of Krispy Kremes are yeast donuts, mostly air. Dunkin' Donuts are a cake type donut.
Years ago the police chief demanded that the Kriupy Kreme owner stop giving the cops free coffee and donuts. The owner said it was his idea, and he'd give it to anybody he wanted. Being open 24 hours, he especially liked them stopping by at night.

When I was a little policeman years ago, riding with the sgt we walked into the back room of the local bakery and partook of a fresh doughnut right out of the fryer and dipped in the icing.... That and a cup of Joe is heaven or darn close to it.
