Tragic incident in Alabama

Post by toyfj40 » Wed Mar 11, 2009 5:22 pm

the recent incident in Alabama involved several family members
being killed and other innocent victims, plus injuries.

TV station WSFA has details in an article and a "poll"
at the top of the article...

John Longenecker has a posting on 'response time'

A terrible tragedy. Unfortunately we will see more of these type of events if the economy continues to go sour. That plus the media, with its anti gun agenda will do everything it its power to expose these stories to sway public opinion and further political will.

Saw something in the news somewhere where the guy had 3 or 4 guns in his home and the called it an ARSENAL. Well I gues we all have our own ARSENALS.

I saw today that the Brady campaign jumped all over this. They've made the point that these guns(SKS and AR-15) would have be illegal to transfer 94-04. My understanding is he also carried a shotgun and .38.

Pray for the families and wounded.

Considering that there's currently four rifles, four handguns, two shotguns and two bb guns here I wonder what they would think of me. Heaven forbid, two of those rifles are mil spec.

More than I need, not nearly as many as I want.

Fact is overseas where firearms are banned this kind of thing goes on with knives. But fuel for the flames, considering the current legislation up for consideration time could be tough in the future.

Thought and prayers out for the victims.
If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics need work.

I must really have a problem like maybe 10 handguns and 6 of each rifles and shotguns, and a whole bunch of ammo? I should do an exact count one of these days again.

just don't post the "inventory" on the Internet!!

I heard a radio-economy commentary the other day,
it mentioned to consider having more Cangoods, long-expiration foods
in the cabinet... basic blankets, towels, socks, shirts, shoes
and "things to barter"... if the "money" goes 'Wiemar-worthless'
such-as: "ammo" ... it has a long-shelf-life and can be bartered
as individual-rounds...

the "gun grabbers"(tm) will not waste any 'crisis'...
IMHO: it is a clearer situation for more individual responsibility
to "be prepared" to defend yourself. The attraction to the depressed
and despondent individual for the Church, Mall, School... it too easy.
There just aren't enough incidents at the GunStore or Range to
have counter-examples...
