Another VQ sear/trigger swap

Post by get1 » Wed Jul 04, 2007 8:07 pm

After reading the continuous stream of praise for the VQ sear and trigger, I decided to bite the bullet  and try it on my MkIII Hunter. I ordered the pair online from Rimfire Sports last Sat and received it on Tues (via USPS no less!). Well, I primed myself by watching the VQ video and reviewing the step-by-step instructions supplied on this awesome forum and dug in. I'm happy to report that all went smoothly and the swap took about 1-1/2 hours. I spent most of that time cleaning and jiggling the insides around to understand how all of these subsystems come together to result in a really great firearm. I only had to go back to Bullseye's reassembly instructions once, to understand how all of the pieces that make up the hammer assembly go in - I had it upside down and backwards. I really love the feel of the new trigger and can't wait to get to the range this weekend to do the final tweaking. Thanks Bullseye for the great aids. You do a great service to the sport!

My pleasure. Sounds like you've gained some really great knowledge of the internal workings of that pistol.

I hope you enjoy that newly upgraded pistol.
