The more I think about it I don't think the mag from the 22/45 line up on the ramp of the Mark I or I'm I wrong?

What happened was I was praciting, I have a 22/45 5.5 bull barrel with a dot. A couple of guys where watching me so I ask if they wanted to try using the red dot and they said sure. Then one asked if I wanted to try his, which was a Mark II standard tappered 6 in., it wasn't tricked out but boy did it balance nice in my hand. My gun is nose heavy for me. On the way home I stopped at a gun store and they had a Mark I with a 6 in barrel and that got me thinking about swicthing barrels. Also does anyone have a tac sol barrel, how does these balance?
Thanks,
Mark II

Did you actually get to shoot the six inch? The bull barrels are nose heavy to handle, but some people like the way it cancels muzzle flip. I prefer it myself.

You could just get the Mark I to shoot on its own!

You said you have a dot scope on your gun, try moving it back for better balance.

The uppers will fit but you'll have to remove the bolt stop assembly. Your RST6 doesn't have a slot cut in the upper to facilitate the bolt stop. Even though you have the Mark III lower it will still operate like a Mark I without the bolt stop. You must use the Mark III magazines as they have the latching bump on the middle right side of the mag body.

I ended up cutting an inch off the front of my bull barrel. Balances better in my hand with the dot, not so nose heavy and lightens up total weight also. I think if a gun balances good in your hand it will stay on target better or easier. Not talking about recoil here because it will jump a little more..
I haven't shot it yet, maybe this weekend. It will be interesting how it groups and feels. Before I cut it I had an one hole group with one flyer. That is only from 50 ft. and only five shots, but still something I like to see out of my gun.
