My 422 shoots high and I'd like to replace the fixed rear with an adjustable sight. Anyone removed a rear sight on one of these beasts? Looks like all you have to do is punch it off. I'm sure there be dragons and snakes in this assumption.

not sure I'll look at mine when I get home..... mine's adjustable.

mine seemes to like high speed ammo you could just change that and see if it brings the group down.

Last time out, I shot both Federal 40gr SV and 36gr hp (value pack). Had to bury the front sight in the bottom half of the rear sight to get on target. Fair accuracy with that windage. Looks like the rear is in a dovetail and all you have to do is beat it off...

Ordered the rear sight from Precision sales.

R&R of the fixed sight was easy. Just a bit if whacking with a padded brass drift pin.

The adjustable sights needed a bit of filing on the front edge to fit in the slide dovetail.

Now all I have to do is a bit of range time to see how it works.
