I have a Ruger HiVis sight kit installed on my Mark II. Makes me feel twenty years younger -- almost. Now for my Redhawk with a 7 1/2 barrel. The HiVis kit from Ruger for the Redhawk does not include a v-notch rear blade. What rear blade should I order? I want to be able to use it as is. No filing. Just out with the old, in with the new. Heck, that's hard enough for me.
I'm sure some other "old guy" has done this conversion. And yes, I am aware of the v-notch rear blade-gold bead front kit at is available for $16.90 . Maybe this would be good enough and I wouldn't need the HiVis kit.

I don't have any answers for you but I believe I need to look into those HiVis sight kits. I've got a Ruger KP345D that I really like. The only thing I don't like is the sights that come on it from the factory. They are just not visible for these old eyes. And Ruger in their infinite wisdom decided to go with a completely non-standard dovetail for the rear sight on this gun. So far I have not found any after market sight upgrade. I will have to check to see if Ruger themselves has anything.
