LC9 Accuracy

I've been disappointed with the accurcy of my LC9. It may be ammo dependent.

Over Christmas, bgreene and I fired the pistol with Blazer Brass ammo. POI was ~6" above POA at 7 or so yards. We both had some scatter.

Sunday I fired my 125gr lead loads (~1050 fps). POI was 4-5" high at 10 yards. Grouping was ok. 115gr JHP rounds loaded to ~1150 fps POI=POA. Scatter wasn't bad.

Looks like the LC9 likes snappy rounds.

I made a comment to a shooter (not one of my favs) about shooting his Kahr
at 50'. I told him the gun wasn't made for that distance. He started to brag by
telling me he had hit the target half the shots.?. I believe a pocket gun should
be used at a distance it would be used in SD, about 3-7 yds. 30' seems like too
far away to me. I shoot my Kahr as well as my big 9mm's at 20'.

I usually shoot the belly guns at 7-10 yards but I stretch them out every now and then out to 25 yards.... I think they shoot pretty well at distance because it takes more concentration to shoot well with the little guns

I did read a in a forum a guy describing how he shot tennis balls out to 100 yards with his P22, so I figure the mouse guns are long range shooters.

I was keeping the bullets in a 6" Shoot'n'See and grouping them fairly well. But you guys are right, they are intended to be short range shooters.
